Any Ideas on what to cook for a woman after hysterectomy operation?Nutrition for Women after a Hysterectomy?
It depends how soon after the hysterectomy. If its just a few days after she might want soft food, close to apple puree, puddings, soups, anything she feels she can digest lacking too much bother. I would avoid giving her any food that causes gas because the bunch of gas in the stomach hurts the inner scar. If the woman is already 2-3 weeks past the operation and feel well, I judge its up to her to decide what she feel like ingestion. One thing is for sure, she should avoid as much as possible sugars, starches and other fattening foods, no use contained by gaining shipment and as we exercise less after convalescing, we tend to gain solidity.
Pain medications slow down digestion and bowel movements and may put together her constipated. So, be sure to include foods containing fiber - such as raisins, prunes, leafy greens, and bran. Metamucil powder can even be used in her favorite drinks. Constipation can be predetermined by avoiding dairy foods.
Eating healthy foods such as fish, turkey, chicken, life bread, soups, broths, and salads may help her rest faster. She may also drink tea, water, and crushed rime.
